Jarre valley is an original site in the limestone land of the Calanques ranges. This unique site inside the ranges, where sand dunes shelter, is a persistent mystery which divides experts. Unique plants and animals are observed there.

 

Getting here and regulations

Before heading out to visit the Calanques National Park, make sure you are prepared and read about good conduct and regulations here.

This site is very fragile. It is strictly forbidden to walk on the dunes and sandy areas which are home to many buried species which are destroyed when walked upon. Please stay on the trails and paths which wind through the sand to protect the environment.

The Jarre valley is the property of the Bouches-du-Rhône department. Cycling on wide paths is authorised. Creating circuits with humps and jumps is strictly forbidden.

Getting here

RTM bus no.3 - direction Beauvallon, Sormiou Jarre stop in La Cayolle district. At the roundabout, to the right, take Boulevard Louis Pierotti. Voire fountain is also nearby.
