Description

The Sea daffodil is one of the rare plants in the National Park that flower in the summer. It can be recognised by its magnificent white flowers and its enchanting scent. Its bulb enables it to store water reserves and to flower even when its foliage has already dried up. It only grows in its natural environment, i.e. sandy and saline soil. There is no point trying to grow it at home, it will not survive!

Did you know ?

As it is often uprooted, the sea daffodil is now rare. In the National Park, the islands around Marseilles, that have less visitors than the coast, is a safe haven and play an important role in its conservation.
